Journalists and analysts claimed this \u201cgrit and grind\u201d was their disruptive defense. A \u2018free throw\u2019 is usually given to a player disrupted by defense \u2014 so while unintentionally borrowing the ethos of their home state\u2019s NBA franchise, Free Throw went on the offensive.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Consider the band\u2019s signature play: a three-guitar attack which stacks raw immediacy with large-scale aspirations. Sometimes this arrangement is abrasive; other times it\u2019s more nuanced.
