The multi-award winning Varietease returns with its most recent installment, “XX”. Written and produced by creative powerhouses Joyce Arbucias (The Imagination House) and Blue Star (BlueLaLa Entertainment), “XX” features both Varietease veterans and newcomers to the Fringe stage, in a powerful journey of reflection, redemption, and celebration.
Blending the raw energy of dance, the power of song, and the emotional impact of spoken word, “XX” reflects not only on a 20-year collection of performances, but also on the emotions and experiences that have shaped our lives over 2 decades.
Against the backdrop of this deeply personal retrospective, we explore the evolution of the X, from its origins as a simple mark, to a symbol of feminine power, defiance, rebellion, love, and unity.
