Goth Prom
May 31 @ 8:00 pm
The Abbey is thrilled to transform its hallowed halls into a haven for all things dark and delightful for an unforgettable Goth Prom Night!
Dust off your fishnets and black lace, dig out your eyeliner and ripped jeans – this is your chance to unleash your inner goth and relive the glory of the 80s alternative scene.
First Wave will get the dance floor started with a dark and electrifying set dedicated to Depeche Mode. Prepare to be swept away by the synth-heavy soundscapes, the charismatic vocals of Dave Gahan, and the danceable beats that made Depeche Mode one of the most influential bands of all time with hits like “Enjoy the Silence,” “Personal Jesus,” and “Just Can’t Get Enough.”
Lovesong, The Cure Tribute will be taking the stage, faithfully recreating the iconic sounds of The Cure. Immerse yourself in the melancholic brilliance of Robert Smith’s voice, the jangly guitars, and the pulsating rhythms that defined an era. Sing along to classics like “Boys Don’t Cry,” “Friday I’m in Love,” and of course, the ever-enduring anthem, “Lovesong.”
Dress Code:
This is your chance to fully embrace the goth aesthetic! Black attire is encouraged, with splashes of dark purples, reds, and greys. Don’t be afraid to go all out with fishnets, lace, ripped clothing, and dramatic makeup. Think Siouxsie Sioux meets Tim Burton – the darker and more creative, the better!
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to celebrate the music of The Cure and Depeche Mode in a truly unforgettable setting!
Let’s paint The Abbey black and dance the night away!
